Propane/LP Gas
Liquified petroleum gas which is supplied to homes via gas tanks. Composed mainly of propane and butane, this gas is heavier than air, so homes that use LP gas typically have gas leak detectors set near the floor. To use LP gas, you need a cooking stove suitable for LP gas. Contact the gas company to make an appointment, and their staff will visit your house on the scheduled day to open the gas connection and check the gas leak detector with you. The type of gas used in a property is fixed and cannot be changed by the tenant.
