What Is Tachikawa Station Like?
Tachikawa Station is located at the center of Tachikawa City. The station area is currently in the spotlight, always bustling with people and activity just like in the city center!
The city composes of many large scale shopping facilities, and there is a University along the Tama monorail. The city is also famous for the Showa Kinen Park, where visitors can spend time in nature. Men and women of all ages live in this area.
Since the 2000s, development of this land has made great progress, and now Tachikawa has become so convenient that residents can get everything they need without stepping a foot out of the city!
In Tachikawa, there is the Tachikawa airfield, currently under the administration of the Ministry of Defense. It used to be a military base used by the US army.
Nowadays, when people think of airports in Japan, they think of Haneda or Narita airports. But in the days of the Taishō Period, there used to be an airport in Tachikawa called Tokyo International Airport, and Tachikawa was considered as a core city in Tokyo.

The store owner Matthew is an expert beer craftsman who has pursued his career at one of Japan’s most famous craft beer breweries, Baird Brewing.
Customers are permitted to bring in food and drinks. Play board games with your best friends, while you enjoy great beer at this wonderful store, Sakamichi Brewing.

A reasonable priced hideout French cuisine restaurant at Tachikawa Station’s south exit side. Seasonal ingredients are selected and used as the main dish. They take care in selecting fine wine as well!
During lunch hours, you can enjoy authentic French cuisine for only 1000 yen!
My recommend dish is the Assorted Hors d’oeuvres. I was fascinated as I relished on delicacies I had never experienced…
The staff kindly gives advice on which alcohol drink matches each dish so you can enjoy your lunch to your heart’s content!
