In this article, I will give a description of the access to and living environment of Ningyocho Station.
If you want to know more about Ningyocho Station, or are looking for a good area to live in, this article may be for you.

What kind of place is Ningyocho Station?

It is said that in the Edo period the area hosted many Kabuki and Joruri theaters, and was home to many puppeteers, which gave its current name, Ningyocho (Doll Town). Shadows of this old town remain, as do many old businesses, giving visitors a taste of good old Japan. Ningyocho is probably most famous for its Ningyo-yaki (doll-shaped pancakes). Some people may think of the Nakamise Street in Asakusa when they say Ningyo-yaki, but they originated in Ningyocho. Amazake Yokocho is also famous with its traditional shops so I recommend it.

Ningyocho Station is a highly convenient station with access to two lines, Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and Toei Asakusa Line.

Recommended restaurants near Ningyocho Station

①Tamahide
●Famous restaurant known as the birthplace of Oyakodon (bowl of rice with chicken and eggs). It is always busy, so I recommend going when you have plenty of time to wait. Their Oyakodon features soft eggs slightly underdone that both adults and children find delicious. Since it is a famous store, it wil surely make for a good story.
