Nihon Agent Co., Ltd., which operates Japan’s largest real estate portal site for foreigners, “wagaya Japan” (Headquarters: Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture / President: Haruki Noman), announced on March 22, 2024, that it has started discussions aimed at a collaborative agreement for the realization of a coexisting society with foreigners, together with Mr. Noritaka Ito, the Mayor of Kuwana City, at the Mayor’s Reception Room in Kuwana City Hall, Mr. Masato Sampei, President of ASIA to JAPAN, and Mr. Haruki Noman, President of Nihon Agent.
■Background to the discussions for the tripartite collaborative agreement
In Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, facing the challenges of declining birthrates, aging population, and the decrease in the population of productive age that could take away the bustle from regional cities, the city aims to realize a global society and to grow and develop the regional economy by welcoming foreigners as partners in life through co-creation with private companies.
Therefore, this time, discussions have started for the tripartite collaboration among Kuwana City, “ASIA to Japan,” which provides matching support between students enrolled in top-class universities abroad and Japanese companies wishing to hire them, and “wagaya Japan” (Nihon Agent Co., Ltd.), which offers housing and living support in the mother tongue for foreigners nationwide with the cooperation of real estate companies and rental housing owners, to facilitate the acceptance of highly skilled foreign professionals into local companies and to prepare living environments.
