A lot of things happened during my early days in Japan, and I was quite uncomfortable with house hunting, so I decided to live in my Japanese language school's dormitory for my first year.
After graduating, I considered moving to a place that is more accessible to the university I was going to attend. So I searched SUUMO for some properties, and I found a place managed by Nihon Agent.
After making an inquiry, their staff contacted me immediately, and they were able to find the room where I now live. I'm very satisfied with it and I'm thankful for their help.

1. At the time, I wasn't very confident of my Japanese skills, so I was worried that house hunting was going to be difficult.
But their Chinese-speaking staff eased my worries and explained everything to me.
Nihon Agent also specializes in servicing foreign clients, which was a big help for me.
2. I think that house hunting is a new experience for many foreigners who have just come to Japan.
And with so many real estate agencies in the country, it's difficult to judge which ones are reliable.
But Nihon Agent has a long history and good reviews from clients, plus they had many branches. Their service met my expectations, and I'm glad I chose them.

When my agent Chen-san was explaining the details of a property, he also told me about Heya Commu.
They were holding a futsal event in early spring, and guests could invite others, so I decided to join together with my friends.
The venue and equipment were all prepared for us, so we didn't have to bring anything.
There were many other tenants whom I did not know, but the staff proactively introduced them to us, so we were easily able to mingle and have fun with everyone.
I even got to make a new friend who helped me a lot in improving my Japanese.

Firstly, Nihon Agent's staff are very kind and their service is reliable. My agent Chen-san spent an entire day just to find and confirm a room for me. He seemed to be even more excited than me after finding a place that met my requirements.
I was truly impressed at the lengths they went to to help me out, and I'm glad I chose them.
Nihon Agent also has many unique services. During my house hunting, I was scheduled to go home to my country temporarily, and I was eligible for their homecoming support service, so I received a free gift certificate.
After moving in, they checked on me regularly, and invited me to the Heya Commu events. They even helped me out on some daily life issues unrelated to the property.
I think I was very lucky to have found Nihon Agent for my first house hunting experience.
I hope that this interview will be shared with other international students coming to Japan. But don't take my word for it, try and visit them for yourselves.
